Alloy wheels are one of the most important features when maintaining the aesthetics of your car and also the most exposed to the elements at large. Paint that is flaking on the alloy wheel itself will allow water to seep in and thus accelerating the corrosive deterioration of the wheel.
Essentially an ‘alloy infection’, corrosion can spread across the metal of your rims, which is why we will first remove any remains of rust that is still in contact with your rims. Using proprietary corrosion solutions, we will cleanse the infected areas ready for the refurbishment process to begin.
The chemical stripping process that Platinum Coatings use will remove all old damaged paint allowing us then shot-blast the wheels to remove corrosion prior to powder coating the wheel in the desired paint finish.
